Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT JakLingko Indonesia, Jakarta's regional-owned public transportation company, has said it is targeting to make its integrated intermodal application available for download, especially for users of public transportation, by January 2022.

President director of PT JakLingko Indonesia Muhamad Kamaluddin said that currently, his team is still widening the trial of smart cards and super apps initiated by JakLingko for four modes of transportation: MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, TransJakarta, and KAI Commuter.

"We are still expanding the targeted trials to be completed later this year. So, early next year, in January 2022, the app can be downloaded by residents and users of public transportation," he informed here on Monday.

JakLingko is still conducting trials for ticket payments through the card-tapping system and QR codes on the JakLingko application at several gates in stations and stops in all transportation modes, he added.

The trial expansion is targeted to be completed by the end of 2021, so 1,300 gates at the stations and stops can be connected using the JakLingko Indonesia cards and applications, Kamaluddin said.

The trial expansion is part of phase 1 of the integrated intermodal system that was launched on September 29, 2021, he added.
