Head of the Protocol and Communications Division for the Regional Secretariat of Sleman District, Shavitri Nurmaladewi, noted that the policy was regulated in the Head of Sleman District's Instruction Number 33/INSTR/2021 on October 19 regarding the PPKM Level 2 in Sleman District.
The instruction encompasses several relaxations in restrictions on community activities, including allowance for children under 12 years of age to visit public facilities, such as parks and tourism destinations.
However, these restrictions were eased with some conditions.
"The maximum capacity is set to 25 percent, while all tourism destinations are required to use the PeduliLindungi application. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by parents," Nurmaladewi noted here, on Friday.
Children under 12 years of age are also allowed to enter a movie theater, with a maximum capacity of 70 percent, and must be accompanied by parents, she remarked.
According to Nurmaladewi, the instructions also included changes in the office work policies in non-essential sectors.
According to the new regulation, 50 percent of the non-essential sector workers may work in the office, though they must be vaccinated at first.
"The capacity of offices operating in the essential sector is set at maximum 75 percent for public services and 50 percent for the office administration," she explained.
In addition, the local government allows wedding receptions, with 50 percent of the room's capacity and without eating and drinking at the venue.
Activities at places of worship are also allowed with a limit of 75 percent of the room's capacity.
"For arts, culture, sports, and social events, 50 percent of the venue's capacity is allowed. The public and private infrastructure construction sector could operate at 100 percent," she concluded.
