"We are still facing various uncertainties in the future, both in terms of COVID-19, developments in the global environment, including the geopolitical turmoil that can affect the global and national economy," Amin said in a statement released by the Press, Media and Information Bureau of the Vice Presidential Secretariat on Friday.
The active role of all components of society is needed to control the spread and transmission of COVID-19 while still supporting national economic recovery, he added.
The public should be grateful for the efforts made to control the COVID-19 pandemic, which have led to a decrease in transmission in various regions, the Vice President said.
"We should be grateful that the government's extraordinary efforts in maintaining and controlling the spread of COVID-19 continue to show promising results," he remarked.

These efforts comprise vaccination activities, the implementation of health protocols, the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) and the improvement of health facilities treating COVID-19 patients.
These countermeasures have also led to a recovery in the national economic sector, with improvements recorded in economic indicators and an increase seen in public consumption activities, he noted.
"A number of economic indicators continue to show improvement. Consumption activity has begun to bounce back, indicated by the retail sales index which has increased," Amin informed.
In addition, production activity is also growing as reflected in the increase in the purchasing managers' index and the increase in electricity consumption, particularly in the industrial sector, he noted.
Given the positive trend in national economic recovery, the Vice President said he hopes that all levels of society will remain optimistic in the period of recovery from the pandemic, while still implementing strict health protocols.
