The award presented by the Central Commission of Information is a testament that information transparency is a commitment that is always upheld by BPJS Kesehatan, president director of BPJS Kesehatan, Ali Ghufron Mukti, said in a written statement received here on Tuesday.
The Information Commission set five grades for the awards: informative, ongoing informative, informative enough, less informative, and uninformative, he informed.
The "informative" status is the highest classification for the award, he said. During an assessment conducted by the commission, BPJS Kesehatan scored 94.18 out of 100, he added.
"Thank you for this incredible award. This achievement cannot be separated from the hard work of BPJS Kesehatan ambassadors who continue to innovate in collecting, managing, and providing the information needed by the public related to the implementation of the JKN-KIS Program," Mukti said.
The award will push BPJS Kesehatan further to prioritize the principles of transparency, accountability, and good governance in managing the JKN-KIS Program, he added.

Meanwhile, chairman of the Central Information Commission, Gede Narayana, said the commission had compiled the Public Information Transparency Index (IKIP) in 2021, with a total score of 71.37.
This score shows that the implementation of public information in Indonesia is moderate and is improving in terms of management and service, as mandated by law, he added.
"From the evaluation at 337 public agencies conducted by the Central Information Commission this year, we noted that there are 83 public agencies classified as 'informative', 63 public agencies are 'ongoing informative'," Narayana explained.
Meanwhile, 54 public agencies have been classified as "informative enough", 37 public agencies "less informative", and 100 classified public agencies "uninformative", he said.
According to Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, the award is an excellent opportunity for public agencies to bolster efforts to implement information accessibility for the public through various innovations.
"The results of this assessment are also hoped to become an introspection of public agencies to maintain and improve public service performance despite being in a pandemic period," he said.
According to Amin, public agencies must provide accurate and true information guided by applicable rules and procedures. They must also respond intelligently, appropriately, and safely in providing public information, he added.
