The government has provided guidelines for the implementation of the 2021 Mandalika WSBK that will be attended directly by 25,000 spectators.Jakarta (ANTARA) - Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno affirmed that preparations for the World Superbike (WSBK) in Mandalika, Central Lombok District, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, had reached 100-percent completion.
“The event will play an important role for the tourism and creative economy sectors in Indonesia, especially in NTB Province. Moreover, Mandalika is one of the five super priority tourism destinations in Indonesia," Uno stated at the Weekly Press Briefing of the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry here on Monday.
In attracting tourists, especially domestic ones, the ticket price for the international racing event had been adjusted.
Initially, the tickets were sold in package for three days of entry at Rp770 thousand. Currently, the tickets can be purchased separately for each day.
The tickets are priced at Rp150 thousand for the first day, Rp200 thousand for the second day, and Rp300 thousand for the third day.
The new price is considered to be in accordance with the purchasing power of the local community.

In addition, his side had attempted to curb the transmission of COVID-19 in the tourism destination by optimizing the use of the PeduliLindungi app and disbursing health kits worth Rp1 million each to the surrounding community.
He expressed optimism that the international racing event would offer abundant income, better welfare, and ample job opportunities to the local people.
It is also expected to offer a momentum for the promotion of Indonesia's creative economy and attract foreign tourists to visit Indonesia, considering that international flights had been opened.
