The head of state and his entourage departed for the province from the Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport, Jakarta, aboard the Indonesian Presidential Aircraft 1 on Friday morning, according to the Presidential Secretariat Press Bureau’s press release received here on Friday.
On arriving at the Zainuddin Abdul Majid Lombok International Airport (BIL), Jokowi will head to the Mandalika Circuit Pit Building at the Mandalika Special Economic Zone to see the circuit control room while being briefed about the circuit’s panel.
Furthermore, the president will personally test the circuit before inaugurating the racing venue and the BIL-Mandalika Bypass Road that shortens the travel time between the airport and the venue to 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, on Friday evening, President Jokowi will attend a virtual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit from his lodging, as he will spend the night in Lombok City and continue his working agenda on Saturday.
Amid his visit to NTB Province, Jokowi is accompanied by several ministers, including State Minister Secretary Pratikno, Trade Minister Muhammad Lutfi, State-owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir, and Investment Minister/Head of Investment Coordinating Board Bahlil Lahadalia.
In addition, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, Military Secretary of the President Rear Marshal M. Tonny Harjono, Presidential Guard Forces Commander Major General Tri Budi Utomo, Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin, as well as Special Staff of the President Angkie Yudistia will be present along with the president.
