“Aligned with the directives of President Joko Widodo, we will continue to build infrastructures in the near future, but build the more qualified ones, either their investment or physical constructions,” Hadimuljono said during the virtual signing of a project for CH-type bridge replacement and/or duplication under the PPP scheme on Monday.
He also expressed his intention of discussing financing the replacement of 37 CH-type bridges aged around 40 years across Java with PT Baja Titian Utama.
The signing of the project is considered on time since the physical construction will take two years to finish, starting from 2022 to 2023, according to the minister.

“In terms of quality, I call on PT Baja Titian Utama to foreground the qualified infrastructure construction. I hope that the quality aspects will be sustained,” he remarked.
The project will cover the replacement and/or duplication of 37 CH-type bridges and their operation as well as maintenance during the service period, he informed.
The total investment in the project is pegged at Rp2.19 trillion and duration at 12 years, comprising two years of construction and 10 years of service, he said.
At least 12 road and bridge construction projects were planned under the PPP scheme this year, he noted.
They comprised the Kamal-Teluknaga-Rajeg toll road, Mamminasata toll road, Sentul Selatan-West Karawang toll road, Bogor-Serpong via Parung toll road, Gilimanuk-Mengwi toll road, access to the Patimban toll road, Semanan-Balaraja toll road, Semarang Harbour/Semarang-Kendal toll road, Cikunir-Karawaci elevated toll road, JORR’s Cikunir-Ulujami elevated toll road, and replacement and/or duplication of CH-type bridges across Java Island, he said.
