The understanding that corruption is the enemy of the education world becomes a collective responsibility for all elements of the education world and also the public.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology's Inspectorate General unveiled the Corruption Prevention Home platform for the education sector that targets 67 million individuals within the education environment.

"The platform was unveiled, so that the education sector could actively participate in the corruption prevention movement," the ministry's official, Sunarto, noted in a written statement here on Wednesday.

The Corruption Prevention Home platform aims to disseminate information on values of anti-corruption to students, teachers, lecturers, education workers, families, and education sector's stakeholders.

"The understanding that corruption is the enemy of the education world becomes a collective responsibility for all elements of the education world and also the public," he affirmed.

The Corruption Prevention Home platform also connects with other programs, such as the prevention of intolerance, radicalism, bullying, sexual violence, bribery, and gratification.

In order to strengthen anti-corruption values, the ministry also held the 2021 Corruption Prevention Festival themed "Willing to be Honest is Cool," with the number of participants reaching 1,651.

The competition was held for two months from October 5, 2021, to November 30, 2021.

The competition comprises social campaign, opinion video, animation video and poster design. The poster design competition had the most participants, reaching over one thousand people.

"The festival activity is also an instrument utilized in the corruption prevention movement within the ministry's environment," Sunarto explained.

"The festival is held annually because the target for dissemination is the education sector, starting from students, teachers, education workers, lecturers, and employees, to the education world's stakeholders," he elaborated.

The Corruption Prevention Home team also conducts direct dissemination in several cities, such as in the anti-corruption university students community in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, and Bali.

Some 4,652 corruption prevention ambassadors were readied within schools, Sunarto noted.
