"Tonight we witness the 2021 Obsession Awards, which are given to male and female achievers, corporations, and public institutions that have succeeded in making remarkable achievements in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic," Plate said at the 2021 Obsession Awards, according to a press release issued on Saturday.
He lauded the awards ceremony that was held to honor institutional figures as well as corporations from various fields based on their field of work.
According to the minister, the award is a form of support for Indonesians who run public services in various sectors.
“We should laud Obsession Media Group's commitment and our joint efforts. And, in particular, of course, we must appreciate the medical personnel, all paramedics who actively participated in breaking the chain of the COVID-19 virus in the country and served as an inspiration throughout 2021," he remarked.
On behalf of President Joko Widodo, the minister expressed his gratitude to all the people who have been actively participating in joint efforts to curb the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia.
On behalf of the government, Plate praised Obsession Media Group for its commitment to continue providing support to efforts for tackling the COVID-19 pandemic.
He also expressed his gratitude to government officials from the central government and those in regions as well as the community, religious and customary leaders, and government partners for their cooperation in suppressing the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia.
