Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin believes that the integrity of state civil apparatus could augment anti-corruption efforts and ecosystem in government institutions, including in the central government and Indonesian regions.

"State civil apparatuses that uphold their integrity will enhance an anti-corruption ecosystem in their organization," the vice president noted during the awarding event for corruption-free institutions and clean and serving bureaucratic institutions through video conference from Jakarta on Monday.

Apart from serving as the human resources to support their institutions' activities, civil apparatus must be persistent in upholding their integrity to advance efforts to establish corruption-free and clean bureaucracy in ministries, government institutions, and regional authority institutions, Amin stated.

"Human resources that uphold their integrity is an essential factor to achieve corruption-free and clean bureaucracy in their respective working units," he remarked.

Moral integrity is the essential foundation for civil apparatus to establish trust-based cooperation and partnership with relevant parties, the vice president stated.

Amin encouraged central and regional institutions to enhance work quality, competency, and integrity among civil apparatuses to advance bureaucratic reforms in government institutions sought by the national leadership.

"These are the types of human resources that we strive to develop because our mission is to continue bureaucratic reforms for national advancement," he stated.

To continue transforming national bureaucracy, the vice president has pushed government ministries, central institutions, and regional authorities to enhance synergy and collaboration in developing an anti-corruption ecosystem in their respective institutions.

"We must enhance our synergy and collaboration from the start to the end, from corruption prevention until crackdown measures and either through government-to-government, government-to-business, or business-to-business relations," Amin stated.
