TransJakarta's commitment to employees' prosperity is also formulated within the TransJakarta's collective labor agreement
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta), which operates Jakarta's bus rapid transit, signed a collective labor agreement (CLA) with the trade union that dictates rights and obligations, with the pact being in effect from 2021 to 2023.

Executive Director of the municipally-owned company TransJakarta Mochamad Yana Aditya stated that for the first time, a CLA with the trade union was signed with the agreement of all stakeholders.

"This signing is a new page in history for TransJakarta," Aditya noted in his statement here on Thursday.

Head of Jakarta's Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Office Andri Yansyah and President of the Indonesian Metal Workers Union Federation (FSPMI) Riden Hatam Aziz were present at the signing of the agreement.

"TransJakarta's commitment to ensuring employees' prosperity is also formulated within TransJakarta's collective labor agreement," Aditya highlighted.

Boosting work productivity and creativity as well as the companies' sustainability could be achieved through a dynamic, harmonious, and balanced working relationship between corporations and workers, he affirmed.

Yansyah noted that the Jakarta provincial government lauded all stakeholders for taking part in the signing of the agreement.

The inking of the CLA is based on Manpower Law No. 13 of 2003, Trade Union Law No. 21 of 2000, and Manpower Ministerial Regulation No. 28 of 2016 that is expected to bring about positive changes for transportation workers.

The quality of human resources of transportation workers becomes better along with improving working relationship through the mentorship and development of workers, he elaborated.
