On Saturday, Jakarta recorded 5,765 cases, followed by West Java (2,525 cases), and Banten (1,911 cases), the task force said.
With 11,588 fresh cases nationally, the number of accumulative cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia since the first case was announced in March 2020 reached 4,330,763, it added.
Meanwhile, with 2,590 additional recoveries, the total number of people recovering from the infection reached 4,133,923. The most recoveries were recorded in Jakarta (1,747), West Java (452), and East Java (152).
Fatalities due to SARS-CoV-2 continued to be recorded in the country, though there was a dip in the number of deaths, according to the task force. On Saturday, the number of patients dying of the virus rose by 17, taking the total tally to 144,285.
The number of active cases, which included COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment and/or quarantine, increased by 8,981. Thus, the national total reached 52,555.

The COVID-19 Handling Task Force has urged citizens to remain disciplined in carrying out health protocols such as wearing masks, washing hands with soap and water, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility to avoid COVID-19 transmissions.
To suppress the spread of COVID-19, the central and local governments have bolstered the implementation of health protocols; tracing, testing, and treatment; as well as vaccinations.
Restrictions on public activities have been imposed to prevent an increase in people's movement or mobility, officials said.
Meanwhile, the Task Force also reported that 127,727,473 Indonesians have received the full dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as of Saturday.
The Indonesian government is targeting to fully vaccinate 208,265,720 Indonesians so that herd immunity can be formed quickly.
