"The Police team has conducted an investigation at hotels reserved for repatriation facility," the police's Public Relations Division head Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo noted in Jakarta on Friday.
The inspection is conducted to investigate any possible violations of the quarantine regulation and to allow for prompt legal actions on suspects of quarantine violation detected by police officers, Prasetyo noted.
"Our actions will be consistent with the Police Chief's instruction that the police must take firm action against suspects of criminal acts committed during the quarantine," the public relations division head remarked.
The agency's team has inspected 12 hotels designated as quarantine facilities and collected testimonies from 300 Indonesians and 417 foreign nationals, who undergo quarantine, he noted.
Based on the preliminary investigation and study of collected testimonials, the police concluded that quarantine enforcement at inspected places has been performed according to law, Prasetyo remarked.
The police team will proceed with its investigation despite the positive outlook of the preliminary investigation report, he added.

The team has also requested operators of quarantine facilities to submit the data of persons undergoing quarantine in their premises, he added.
"We will continue to track some subjects that are undergoing quarantine (for the investigation)," the public relations division head noted.
