Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia will highlight three important points at the G20 Trade, Investment, and Industry Working Group (TIIWG) meeting, themed "Recover Together Recover Stronger," where Indonesia will assume the G20 presidency in 2022 and hold the summit.

"We will highlight three important sub-themes. The first is how we complete the global health architecture," the Minister of Trade, Muhammad Lutfi, remarked during a virtual press conference here on Tuesday.

The minister noted that the second point to be accentuated was digital transformation followed by the use of green energy and new and renewable energy sources.

Lutfi explained that these three points had become challenges for driving economic activities of today's civilization. By taking suitable steps to address three points, the world would be ready to tackle the current pandemic as well as pandemics that might occur in future.

"According to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this pandemic teaches us that no one should be left behind during every crisis. We are testament to the fact that no one is safe until everyone is safe," he stated.

Lutfi also stressed that digital transformation could fill the gap between the rich and the poor, including during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Digital transformation is able to create opportunities, especially for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that were able to survive and even add more value to their businesses amid the pandemic, he affirmed.

Furthermore, the minister raised the topic of the use of green energy and new and renewable energy.
