Head of Bengkulu Health Office Herwan Antoni said in Begkulu on Sunday that the COVID-19 daily cases in the province have risen significantly compared to several months ago when the cases were still under control.
Moreover, COVID-19 cases caused by the Omicron variant, which has four times faster infection compared to the other variants, had been found within the province.
In addition, the elderly and teenagers constitute most of the COVID-19 patients within Bengkulu.
Currently, the vaccination coverage for Bengkulu has reached 86.74 percent for the first dose, 58.34 percent for second dose, and 2.18 percent for third dose.
For Central Bengkulu District, the first dose reached 94.70 percent, second dose 71.66 percent, and third dose 3.57 percent.
In Bengkulu City, the first dose touched 90.25 percent, second dose 64.65 percent, and third dose 4.33 percent.
For Kaur district, the first dose is 86.72 percent, second dose 59.86 percent, and third dose 1.49 percent.
For Mukomuko district first dose crossed 86.73 percent, second dose 41.76 percent, and third dose 1.01 percent.
For Lebong District first dose coverage reached 86.72 percent, second dose 61.55 percent, and third dose 1.08 percent.
In North Bengkulu District first dose touched 86.51 percent, second dose 64.89 percent, and third dose 1.90 percent. South Bengkulu District first dose clocked 86.17 percent, second dose 63.25 percent, and third dose 1.34 percent.
For Rejang Lebong first dose coverage reached 83.98 percent, second dose 52.15 percent, and third dose 2.03 percent.
In Seluma District first dose crossed 83.84 percent, second dose 50.82 percent, and third dose 1.52 percent.
For Kepahlang District first dose reached 81.95 percent, second dose 53.26 percent, and third dose 1.28 percent.
