We are proud to be able to participate in this historic event.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian export financing agency Indonesia Eximbank promotes export-quality products of its fostered micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) partners to 2022 G20 Finance Track meeting delegates at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).

"We are proud to be able to participate in this historic event. The MSMEs' products are the result of our Coaching Program for New Exporters (CPNE) and Foreign Exchange Villages," Executive Director of Indonesia Eximbank Rijani Tirtoso remarked in a statement here on Tuesday.

Tirtoso noted that the products were able to showcase Indonesia’s positive and enthusiastic attempts to revive amid the pandemic.

The agency’s booths, designed to replicate Javanese and Minahasan traditional houses, showcased various Indonesian fashion, handicrafts, home decorations, and accessory products.

It also exhibited a non-machine loom (ATBM) belonging to one of the fostered MSMEs partners, which was a sarong producer.

The displayed products had been exported to several regions in Asia, Europe, and the United States.

Indonesia officially holds its first G20 Presidency starting from December 1, 2021, to November 2022, based on the theme of "Recover Together, Recover Stronger" to strengthen global collaboration in recovering from the pandemic.

The theme was selected since the G20 is a multilateral cooperation forum that represents over 60 percent of the global population, 75 percent of global trade, and 80 percent of the world's gross domestic product.

Thus, the forum’s meeting is expected to yield concrete actions and policies to expedite inclusive global economic recovery.

Currently, Indonesia is hosting two 2022 G20 Finance Track meetings: the Second 2022 G20 Finance and Central Bank Deputies (FCBD) Meeting on February 15–16, 2022, and the First 2022 G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) Meeting on February 17-18, 2022.

The Second 2022 G20 FCBD Meeting will discuss communique drafting.

Meanwhile, the First 2022 G20 FMCBG will discuss six agendas: global economy and health, international financial architecture, financial sector issues, sustainable finance, financial infrastructure, and international taxation.

At least 175 participants are estimated to attend the meetings in person.
