Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Investment Ministry will offer 47 sustainable investment projects, in line with the agenda of Indonesia’s G20 Presidency.

Deputy for Investment Planning at the Investment Ministry Nurul Ichwan said the 47 investment projects are real projects because a pre-feasibility study (pre-FS) has already been conducted for them. He delivered the statement at the launch of Sustainable Investment Projects here on Thursday.

"This information is a real offer from Indonesia in the G20 because what we are offering is already a real project to them," he remarked.

Ichwan also assured that each project already has an indication of its impact on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

He said he expected that Indonesia would take part or contribute to the global achievement of the sustainable development goals by 2030. It will offer investments as a part of the projects and evaluate impacted goals.

Ichwan said that there are a number of investment projects related to sustainable investment, which is one of the focuses of the G20 Presidency. For example, there are waste treatment investment projects, and even nutmeg plantation projects, in West Papua.

He said that this activity could be considered as a way to protect nature and prevent the Earth from becoming barren.

Not only that, there are also other sustainable green investment opportunities, ranging from new renewable energy to supply offers for carbon trading.

The government is offering a total of 47 sustainable investment projects spread across 33 provinces, comprising nine projects in Java, 11 projects in Sumatra, six projects in Kalimantan, nine projects in Sulawesi, three projects in Bali and Nusa Tenggara, and nine projects in Maluku and Papua.

Based on sector, there are 12 projects worth Rp78 trillion in the tourism sector, 14 projects worth Rp 48.25 trillion in economic zones, 15 projects worth Rp51.92 trillion in the manufacturing industry sector, and six projects worth Rp49.17 trillion in the infrastructure sector.
