The bill had regulated, among others, the crime of sexual violence; punishment (sanctions and actions); special procedural law that presents a breakthrough that overcomes hindrance to justice for victims, ranging from restitution, victim aid funds, reporting, investigation, prosecution and examination in court; and elaboration and certainty of the fulfillment of victims' rights to treatment, protection and recovery through an integrated service framework.
The bill also listed sexual violence acts that were earlier not criminal acts or had only been partially regulated, which range from sexual harassment, forced contraception, forced sterilization, forced marriage, sexual torture, sexual exploitation, sexual slavery, and electronic-based sexual violence.
The bill also recognized sexual violence crime as regulated in other laws, so the procedural law and the fulfillment of victims' rights refer to the sexual violence crime bill.
