"We will continue to monitor and inform the development of prices and supply of basic commodities to ensure that people can celebrate Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr solemnly and comfortably," Lutfi informed online from here on Tuesday.
The average price of medium rice on Tuesday (April 18) was Rp10,400 per kilogram (kg), down 1.89 percent compared to the Eid al-Fitr period last year, he said.
Premium rice was stable at Rp12,400 per kg, with the lowest price of Rp11,500 per kg recorded in production centers such as Java and Sulawesi. Meanwhile, the highest price of Rp13,500 per kg was recorded in Maluku and Papua.
The price of granulated sugar was Rp14,700 per kg, up 2.8 percent compared to last month, with the national stock still sufficient for the next two months.

The price of beef was Rp133,100 per kg, up 0.6 percent from the previous week. However, overall it was still 0.82 percent lower compared to Ramadan last year.
The price of purebred chicken was Rp37,100 per kg, down 1.07 percent from the previous week. Meanwhile, the price of chicken eggs was stable at Rp26,100 per kg.
The price of shallots was Rp33,600 per kg, down 2.61 percent from the previous week, and 5.26 percent lower than last month's price.
The price of garlic was in the range of Rp31 thousand to Rp33 thousand per kg, down slightly by 1.27 percent from the previous week.
Meanwhile, the price of chili fell sharply by 13.2 percent compared to the previous week, with the price of curly red chili reaching Rp42 thousand per kg, large red chili Rp43 thousand per kg, and large cayenne pepper Rp49,400 per kg.
"We can also convey that the price of soybeans today has also fallen to Rp13,900 per kg. Or down 0.71 percent compared to last week. Based on the developments in futures prices in the international soybean market, soybean prices will gradually decline, starting at the end of May this year," Trade Minister Lutfi said.

Currently, the government is also distributing assistance to make up the difference in the purchase price of soybeans of Rp1,000 per kg to tofu and tempeh craftsmen who are members of the Indonesian Tofu and Tempeh Cooperative (KOPTI), which is being channeled through the State Logistics Agency (Bulog), he informed.
Meanwhile, the price of wheat flour is relatively stable at Rp11,300 per kg and the price of premium packaged cooking oil is pegged at Rp26,300 per liter.
Meanwhile, the price of simple packaged cooking oil is Rp23,700 per liter, and bulk cooking oil is Rp17,600 per liter.
