Considering the current conditions, we are optimistic that Jasa Marga's achievement in 2022 will improve.Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-run toll operator PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk expects toll revenue to increase by 27.3 percent in the period seven days before and after (D-7 to D+7) Eid Al-Fitr this year compared to November 2021.
In November 2021, Jasa Marga recorded its highest toll revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Eid target has been set considering the expected rise in homecoming and returning traffic flow, head of the company’s corporate communication and community development group, Dwimawan Heru, said in a statement issued here on Saturday.
It has been predicted that 4.96 million vehicles will leave and enter the Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabotabek) area through the four main toll gates (GT), namely GT Cikampek, GT Kalihurip, GT Ciawi, and GT Cikupa during the period.
"We project that the number of vehicles leaving the Jabotabek area on D-7 to D+7 of 2022 Eid Al-Fitr, or on April 25 to May 10, 2022, will be 2.56 million vehicles, which is an increase of 80 percent compared to the same period in 2021 Eid Al-Fitr,” the official said.

Meanwhile, the number of vehicles entering the area during the same period is predicted to reach 2.39 million, an increase of 69.7 percent compared to the 2021 Eid Al-Fitr period, he added.
Hence, Jasa Marga has estimated an increase of up to 11.8 percent and 4.5 percent in the number of vehicles leaving and entering the Jabodetabek area, respectively, during D-7 to D+7 of 2022 Eid Al-Fitr compared to the normal period in November 2021.
"We expect that the trend will also resume amid the future long holidays to boost the traffic volume and the company’s toll revenue," Heru said.
Jasa Marga recorded a significant increase in traffic flow in the first quarter of 2022, with the average daily toll road traffic increasing by 12.8 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
In addition, compared to the period before the COVID-19 pandemic, it showed a decrease of only 0.45 percent. Hence, the traffic volume has been quite close to the normal volume.
"Considering the current conditions, we are optimistic that Jasa Marga's achievement in 2022 will improve. Jasa Marga will always be committed to providing the best service to road users,” the official remarked.
