If one region can register one thousand products, our target to list one million products in the e-catalogue can be reached.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Minister Teten Masduki has said that he expects the implementation of the second phase of business matching to expedite the realization of domestic goods and services procurement.

While the procurement target has been set at Rp483.2 trillion (US$33.48 billion), currently, the realization has reached only Rp96.2 trillion (US$6.66 billion).

"It should not only become a commitment. We need a concrete implementation of the contract," the minister remarked at the Jakarta Convention Center during the main event of the second phase of business matching here on Monday.

The event, which features various medical, agricultural, technical services, information technology, and heavy equipment, as well as creative economy products, is being held to promote quality micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperation products to the government and the private sector.

“The trust of the government and state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in domestic products will boost the confidence of small business actors. In addition, there are a lot of demands from the private sector to the producers participating in the event,” Masduki said.

He informed that the ministry’s next target is ensuring that one million MSME products are included in the e-catalogue of the National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP).

The attempt will also be supported by various human resource, financial, certification, and partnership development programs to establish a supportive ecosystem for MSMEs.

The minister said he expects all ministries/agencies (K/L) as well as local governments to encourage MSME actors to include their products in the e-catalogue, with a minimum target of one thousand business actors per district/city.

“If one region can register one thousand products, our target to list one million products in the e-catalogue can be reached,” he added.

On the same occasion, deputy for micro business at the ministry, Hanung Harimba, informed that the business-matching event will be held until April 26, 2022. It is showcasing 100 SME products, especially innovative import substitution products.

In addition, the event features consultation sessions on e-catalogue entry, sectoral Electronic Procurement Services (LPSE), and Domestic Component Level (TKDN).

"On the second day of the event, there will be discussions regarding the real implementations of the issues, coaching clinics, MSME and cooperative coordination program, as well as continuation of the business-matching program," the deputy informed.
