Jakarta (ANTARA) - At least 577,018 vehicles left Jakarta via Soekarno-Hatta Airport from D-10 to D-4 of Eid 2022, according to Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional.

"From D-10 to D-4 of 2022 Eid Al-Fitr on April 22 to 28, Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional recorded a total of 577,018 vehicles, or an increase of 13.31 percent compared to the traffic volume of new normal transactions (November 2021), which was 509,209 vehicles that left Jakarta via Soekarno-Hatta Airport," Head of Marketing and Communication Department of Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Irra Susiyanti said in a written statement received here on Friday.

At Cengkareng Toll Gate on Prof. Dr.Ir. Soedijatmo Road, the increase in transaction traffic rate was 450,277 vehicles, or up 13.55 percent compared to the new normal traffic rate of 396,551 vehicles, she added.

As for Benda Utama 2 Toll Gate on Kunciran-Cengkareng Road, the traffic transactions stood at 126,741 vehicles, an increase of 12.5 percent compared to the new normal transactions of 112,658.

The company also recorded as many as 222,696 vehicles leaving Bandung for Rancaekek, Garut, and surrounding areas through the Cileunyi Toll Gate. The figure showed an increase of 9.47 in traffic volume compared to the new normal traffic of 203,434 vehicles.

Meanwhile, vehicle transactions from the opposite direction or to Bandung via Cileunyi Toll Gate were recorded at 206,047, an increase of 5.71 percent compared to the new normal traffic of 194,919 vehicles.

The company reminded the public to make preparations before traveling, including ensuring that their vehicles are in prime condition, the driver's health is excellent, there is a certain amount of fuel in the gas tank, and there is sufficient e-toll balance for a comfortable trip.

Jasa Marga also appealed to road users to only use the same e-toll card for making payments on toll roads with a closed transaction system, such as the Cipularang and Padaleunyi toll roads and the JORR II Toll Road.
