Cianjur, W Java (ANTARA) - Stuck in traffic on the Puncak-Cianjur line, West Java, some travelers got down at Bukit (Hill) Segar Alam to take selfies while waiting for the opening of the one-way traffic flow to Bogor.

Based on ANTARA's observation, there was a long queue of vehicles from Tuesday morning till afternoon, which made hundreds of travelers choose to stop for a while in the Puncak Pass area while enjoying snacks peddled by traders, such as grilled corn and bandrek, a traditional spicy drink.

Some even chose to climb the artificial hill, better known as the Bukit Segar Alam Puncak Pass, that has been built to prevent landslides.

The travelers not only enjoyed the scenic view of Cipanas city, but also took selfies while having food and beverages from stalls across the hill.

"(We) deliberately stopped because (we) had been stuck in traffic for an hour in this Puncak Pass area. We were about to return to Bogor after a meeting with a family in Cianjur," a Bogor resident, Dewi Sintia, said.

Although Sintia was stuck in traffic, she and her family were not too upset because they could enjoy the atmosphere of Puncak during the day, while enjoying its special food and drinks.

"Not (feeling) too upset because while waiting for the one-way system, we can have a free picnic at Bukit Segar Alam," she remarked.

The same thing was conveyed by Jakarta resident, Rudiansyah, who went to Cianjur and then chose to rest at Puncak Pass before continuing his journey.

"We wanted to meet with a big family at Cianjur city, but because it was badly jammed, we rested at Puncak Pass; other than buying snacks, we are interested to see many who climb this hill for pictures, and the scenery is beautiful," Rudiansyah remarked.
