The socialization activities were aimed at strengthening knowledge of the Indonesian ideology of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the concept of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika or unity in diversity, as well as the commitment to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), Lemhannas Governor Andi Widjajanto said in Banjarmasin on Wednesday.
"How strong political battles are around us, and (their) consequences on resources demand and the socioeconomic aspect," Widjajanto remarked after opening the event, which was joined by officials from South Kalimantan province.
During the talk, Lemhannas shared materials on biopolitics in view of the current political development in the country and the world.
Lemhannas also touched upon the current international political dynamics, such as the Ukrainian-Russian crisis as well as tensions between the United States and China.
"How we together realize the basic consensus as our shield against the developing biopolitics," Widjajanto said.
According to him, issues that were discussed during the socialization were also related to the vulnerability of Indonesia and other countries to disasters, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
"There is no region in the world that has not been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We need to be aware of that," he said.
Meanwhile, other issues are related to the recent mysterious hepatitis cases and the transmission of foot and mouth disease (FMD). He deemed that discussion efforts are needed to secure the nation's resilience.
Furthermore, Widjajanto explained, the national insight dialogue is part of the annual routine program held by Lemhannas in many provinces to expand its alumni reach.
