There are still many things that we have to continue to learn. So, we need to continue to learn and we must have a life goal.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Tanoesoedibjo has urged Indonesian women to continue to innovate and adapt in the professional sphere.

"The most constant thing in life is change. As long as we can adapt, create, and give our best, well go for it," she remarked in an official statement issued on Friday.

Innovation and adapting to new things are key to following and understanding current developments that are becoming more modern, she noted during the 2022 Fortune Indonesia Summit.

In an era filled with technological development, people, specifically women, must be able to adapt and keep pace with the developments around them.

Gaining new knowledge can help them in their career.

"There are still many things that we have to continue to learn. So, we need to continue to learn and we must have a life goal," she said.

Moreover, women can overcome obstacles, such as people's perceptions of career women, by demonstrating a high level of professionalism, Tanoesoedibjo noted.

However, equality as well as allyship among women are also required in daily life, she added.

"We need to have awareness about the equality of rights for women and allyship toward women, whether it is through facilities or the number of women in a certain organization," she explained.

At a different event, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahendra Siregar said that the involvement of women in the economy still needs to be encouraged.

Their participation can help improve family quality and children's future and also bolster the economy at the national level, he added during the ‘Resilient Women in Sustainable Export LPEI’ webinar on Friday.

However, women are still encountering problems, with more than 2.7 billion women not having the freedom to choose a job.

Moreover, they tend to work in the informal sector and even in unpaid professions.
