"That is right. The Interpol has released Eril's Yellow Notice," Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo told reporters here on Thursday.
Yellow notices are issued to help locate missing persons, often minors, or to help identify persons, who are unable to identify themselves.
With the issuance of the Yellow Notice, Prasetyo said all countries that are members of Interpol have received information about Eril going missing.
"(The notice) from the Interpol Headquarters (in Lyon, France) is addressed to all members of the Interpol in the world," he stated.
Issuance of the Yellow Notice was requested by the National Central Bureau (NCB) of the Indonesian Police's Interpol as a proactive step to facilitate the search for Kamil's son.
"The Indonesian National Police, in collaboration with Interpol, the Swiss Police, and the local Indonesian Embassy, continue to actively monitor developments on the field," he stated.
The Yellow Notice document contains data on the identity of Eril and his parents, including the place and date of birth, physical characteristics, such as skin color, eye color, hair, height and weight, and facial photos.
In addition, there is information about the color of the clothes worn by Eril at the time of the incident, specifically a blue t-shirt and black pants.
Interpol issued the Yellow Notice for Eril on June 1, 2022, with the status of missing person.
Eril went missing since May 26, 2022, in the afternoon, when he was in Aare River in Bern. According to some reports, he was swimming in the river and was about to approach the river bank when he was suddenly swept away by the river's current.
