All (facilities and services) have been checked, and Alhamdulillah (thank God), they are readyMecca (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) in Saudi Arabia has ensured that facilities and services in Mecca are ready for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims ahead of their arrival from Medina.
Hajj pilgrims from the first batch are scheduled to depart from Medina to Mecca on June 12, 2022.
"We ensure that the three services -- accommodation, catering, and transportation -- are ready when the pilgrims arrive," Deputy Head of PPIH in Saudi Arabia Nasrullah Jasam stated in Mecca on Friday.
"All (facilities and services) have been checked, and Alhamdulillah (thank God), they are ready," he remarked.
Jasam affirmed that the hotel, which was earlier unused due to the ban on Hajj pilgrimage in the last two years, was confirmed to be ready to accommodate the pilgrims.
Catering service providers have also been readied to provide food thrice a day to the Indonesian pilgrims.
Moreover, Jasam confirmed that PPIH had checked the readiness of buses to be deployed for transporting the Hajj pilgrims.
The PPIH has readied the buses to serve Indonesian pilgrims at five locations: Mahbas Jin, Syisyah, Raudhah, Jarwal, and Misfalah.
Buses, with a capacity of 70 people each, will be operated for 24 hours to transport pilgrims from the hotel to the Great Mosque of Mecca and vice versa.
According to data from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, as many as 18,179 Indonesian Hajj pilgrims have arrived in Medina.
Indonesian Hajj pilgrims entering Saudi Arabia through Medina to conduct worship in the Prophet's Mosque will be transported to Mecca.
This year, Saudi Arabia has allowed one million pilgrims from various countries to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. Indonesia has been allotted a quota of 100,051 people for the pilgrimage.
Although it has given permission for foreign pilgrims to perform Hajj, Saudi Arabia has laid down two conditions for them this year. First, pilgrims must not be older than 65 years and must have received the full dose of any COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Saudi Health Ministry.
Second, pilgrims traveling from abroad must have a certificate showing a negative PCR result, with the test taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure.
