Head of the West Java Tourism and Culture Office Benny Bachtiar noted here on Monday that World of Coffee is the most prominent coffee trade show in Europe.
The World of Coffee Exhibition is an event for the coffee community worldwide, organized by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), a non-profit organization comprising thousands of professional coffee industry players, from coffee producers to baristas.
World of Coffee aims to develop and promote the world's leading specialty coffee, and participation in it has snowballed, from three thousand visitors and 45 exhibitors to 10,945 visitors and 240 exhibitors in the last six years.

Bachtiar noted that curation of West Java's best coffee products had been conducted for the province to partake in the exhibition.
Of the 166 samples of coffee products submitted, 10 coffee products of West Java's local farmers were selected: six of arabica coffee, three of robusta coffee, and one of liberica coffee.
According to Bachtiar, the international coffee market is huge. Thus, with the abundant potential of West Java coffee, West Java's coffee products are expected to capture a place in the world market.
He affirmed that West Java Province was passionate about promoting coffee as part of its tourism.
"So far, we have introduced coffee as an export commodity without explaining the stories. Now, we want to introduce them," he noted.
"Apart from that, we also want our coffee prices to be competitive and get certificates of geographical indication. We also want to develop coffee tourism in West Java," he remarked.
He highlighted that the World of Coffee is an international event that West Java's coffee entrepreneurs must utilize to promote their products.
