Work with gratitude, so that you can show them that Indonesia is a great and polite nation with superior human resourcesJakarta (ANTARA) - Manpower Minister, Ida Fauziyah, deployed 150 Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) to work as professional nurses in Saudi Arabia while expressing optimism that the placement would broaden horizons regarding potential work opportunities abroad for PMI.
"All of you are ambassadors of the nation. Work with gratitude, so that you can show them that Indonesia is a great and polite nation with superior human resources," the minister told the PMI in a statement on Wednesday.
Fauizyah also lauded the Binawan Group as a private entity that had earned the trust of the Health Ministry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to place Indonesian health workers in health facilities belonging to the Saudi Arabian government.

The minister later noted that Indonesia was one of the countries with sufficient supply of labor to be located in the destination countries for placement. It not only provides a supply of low-skilled workers but also middle-skilled and highly competent workers in the hospitality, marine, manufacturing, and health sectors.
"In the health sector, the number of nursing graduates from health or nursing colleges reaches 70 thousand per year. Meanwhile, more than half of them have not been absorbed by the domestic job market," Fauziyah stated.

In addition, the placement of 150 PMI professionals in the health sector must be made known to the wider community, she noted.
She expressed optimism that the deployment of PMI to Saudi Arabia would broaden horizons regarding sound opportunities to work abroad and motivate students to gain knowledge, expertise, and skills from school.
"These are professional workers. They are reliable, superior, professional, competent, and worthy PMIs to compete globally. We will become a country that is known as a professional and competent PMI provider," Fauziyah emphasized.
