“The Mayor has made a really good program, in the form of an application which can be filled independently by the people and can be synchronized with the program set by the Health Ministry," the deputy minister said during a visit to the Prima Integrated Services Post in Jambangan and the Kebonsari Public Health Center, Jambangan district, Surabaya, on Monday.
During the visit, he assured that the provision of primary medical services was going well at the public health center and its supporting counterparts in Surabaya.
The Surabaya government has been managing the Prima Integrated Services Post really well by involving the medical cadres of Great Surabaya (KSH), he said. He further said he expected them to add more services to improve their performance.
“So, later on, it will not be limited to check-ups for kids only, but (services for) all, including the elderly, (will be) made available at the integrated services post. Thank you Mr. Mayor (Eri Cahyadi), for conducting which event has become public's," he remarked.
The Surabaya Mayor, who accompanied the deputy minister, expressed his gratitude for the commendation from the ministry for the quality of services offered by the integrated services posts in Surabaya city.
During the event, the Mayor was also directed by the deputy minister to improve services, particularly in terms of public health data collection.
"I have told him that the city government has involved cadres of Great Surabaya in terms of medical issues. Thank God, Mr. Deputy Minister of Health also gave us directives to improve our data collection, so that central government's policy can be implemented properly," Cahyadi said.
