In the southern part (of the park), a fish pond and pet park are being built
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The management of Tebet Eco Park is building four new facilities to improve the visitors' comfort following the plan to reopen the park by the end of August 2022, the park's official stated.

"In the southern part (of the park), a fish pond and pet park are being built," Tebet Eco Park management staff Arif Muhammad told ANTARA, here on Monday.

Arif explained that the fish pond area will also function as a water playground, while the pet park will allow visitors to bring along their pets.

As for the park's north side near the main gate, the management is building a barbecue area, complete with wooden benches and a spot for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

In addition, mobile toilets provided by the Environment Office aim to offer greater comfort for visitors.

To better handle public enthusiasm, incoming visitors are limited to five thousand people per day, and they need to register in advance through the JAKI application that has a QR barcode, Arif added.

In addition, two separate visiting hours aim to prevent crowds, with the first session being in the morning from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. local time and the second session from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time.

Since mid-July, the park's management has continued to conduct various simulations before the park is reopened, such as guiding visitors to use the application.

"We will also provide mobile phones for those, who do not bring (them), to be able to enjoy the park as long as it follows the visitors' capacity (limit)," Arif remarked.

Meanwhile, Ricki Yoga, one of the internal security members of the Jakarta Forestry Office, said his side had undergone the simulation for two weeks.

The Tebet Eco Park in South Jakarta, spanning an area of 7.3 hectares, offers various recreational facilities for the public. It was temporarily closed since Tuesday, June 14.
