Bandung, Jawa Barat (ANTARA) - The realization of state revenue reached Rp1,551 trillion as of July 2022, an increase of 50.3 percent compared to Rp1,031.7 trillion in the year ago period, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has said.

The state budget target for state revenue was Rp2,266.2 trillion.

"The state revenue grew by 50.3 percent," she said at the state budget KiTA press conference, which was accessed online from Bandung, West Java, on Thursday.

The realization of state revenue included tax revenues of Rp1,213.5 trillion, which increased 53.8 percent from Rp788.9 trillion in July 2021, and non-tax state revenues (PNBP) of Rp337.1 trillion, which increased 39.1 percent from Rp242.3 trillion in the year-ago period.

The tax revenue consisted of tax collection of Rp1,028.5 trillion, up 58.8 percent from Rp647.7 trillion the previous year, and customs and excise of Rp185.1 trillion, an increase of 31.1 percent from Rp141.2 trillion the previous year.

The realization of tax revenues of Rp1,028.5 trillion, or 69.3 percent of the target of Rp1,485 trillion, included non-oil and gas income tax of Rp595 trillion, or 79.4 percent of the target, and value-added tax (PPN) and luxury tax (PPnBM) of Rp376.6 trillion, or 59.1 percent of the target.

It also included land and building tax (PBB) and other taxes of Rp6.6 trillion, or 20.5 percent of the target.

The tax revenue realization was influenced by the trend of increasing commodity prices, expansionary economic growth, and a low base in 2021 due to the provision of fiscal incentives and the impact of the voluntary disclosure program (PPS).

Meanwhile, customs and excise revenues were recorded at Rp185.1 trillion, or 61.9 percent of the Rp299 trillion target, and included import duties, which grew 31.5 percent, driven by the trend of improving national import performance, especially in the trade and industry sectors.

Customs and excise revenues were also driven by excise duty, which grew by 20.8 percent, influenced by the effectiveness of tariff policies, the surge in production in March 2022, and effective supervision.

Export duties (BK), which grew 97.8 percent, also lifted customs and excise revenues, in line with high commodity prices, an increase in BK rates for palm oil products, and the flush-out policy.

Finally, non-tax state revenues (PNBP) reached Rp.337.1 trillion, or 70 percent of the target of Rp481.6 trillion, supported by an increase in the income of all components of PNBP, except for revenues of business service entities (BLU).
