We ensure that issues regarding Bali, which harm the positive narratives and reputation, will be addressed properlyDenpasar, Bali (ANTARA) - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno affirmed that issues harming the reputation of the tourism province of Bali had been addressed properly.
"We ensure that issues regarding Bali, which harm the positive narratives and reputation, will be addressed properly. I and my team continue to monitor all issues regarding Bali," Uno stated here, Thursday, (August 18) evening.
Among responses to address negative issues on Bali, particularly earlier remarks by Australian Senator Pauline Hanson, who claimed Bali was littered with cow droppings, was the minister's parody video to clarify Hanson's statements uploaded on social media on August 8.
Uno then lauded the happiest holiday destination predicate for Bali designated by the French Club Med and stated that the achievement motivated his ministry to work harder to bolster national tourism.
"That makes us work harder because Bali remains the main choice for tourism that makes people happy, and we need to enhance this achievement," he noted.
The minister said Bali always offers a safe, comfortable, and joyful experience every time he visited the tourist destination.
"Bali indeed makes us happy. I only landed here for less than three hours back, and am already happy. Hence, if you seek healing and want to boost your feelings or feel refreshed, then just come to Bali," Uno said.
Meanwhile, Bali Deputy Governor Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati highlighted that the province's human, natural, and cultural aspects contributed to Bali's success in achieving the title of happiest tourism destination.
Sukawati also urged tourism actors and relevant stakeholders to exert efforts in maintaining the title.
"It is not easy to achieve the feat. We need to maintain (the title), and we hope all residents, directly involved in the tourism industry or not, work together for Bali," the deputy governor remarked.
