"The impact of the global crises is a challenge that countries in the world, including Indonesia, should confront," Moerdijat noted in a written statement here on Friday.
"The effort to explore local potential and bolster the people's adaptation capability should be strengthened to stem the impact of further crises," she remarked.
The effort to explore local potentials and bolster the people's adaptation capability through changes in daily activities to become more productive can be one of the efforts to stem inflation.
According to Moerdijat, if the people can adapt to a more effective daily activity pattern, then the drive to stem the inflation rate can become stronger.
"For instance, the adaptation process can be conducted by reducing the use of personal vehicles and increasing the frequency of use of public transportation facilities," she remarked.
In addition, this adaptation can be conducted by combining physical and virtual activities in the people's daily lives that is expected to help reduce fuel consumption, she affirmed.
The current condition can also be followed by the effort to expedite the realization of renewable energy utilization in Indonesia.
Various energy and food potentials of each region in Indonesia should continue to be explored and utilized to increase the variety of energy and food sources, so they can become alternative options, Moerdijat stated.
If the people's basic needs can be met, then their productivity can increase, thereby strengthening resiliency of the national economy, she explained.
