According to Gunawan, to ensure the graduates meet the industry’s needs, the BPSDMI is continuing to cooperate with industry stakeholders, business players, and associations through various forums and discussions.
The forums cover study program planning, curriculum drafting, teaching activities, industrial practical work or placement activities, as well as absorption of graduates.
"Activities such as the Solo Textile Industry Community Academy meeting is a good example that must continue to be carried out because it can absorb the aspirations of the textile industry, which can later be included in the learning plan," he said.

To optimize the absorption of graduates of industrial vocational education units, the BPSDMI has established the Career Development Center (CDC).
“The CDC has been built with a concept created by Skills for Competitiveness (S4C), which is a bilateral project between Switzerland and Indonesia, and integrated with the concept that has been prepared by BPSDMI," he said.
There are many features in the CDC system to help students in their careers, such as job vacancy information, industrial vocational clinics, aptitude tests, vacancies for industrial professional placement, entrepreneurship, and scholarships, among others.
According to Gunawan, CDC can help companies can find a more on-target workforce and also be a forum for feedback related to industrial human resources.
