“So, I challenge you, young visionaries, to help this country ‘hijack’ the crisis. This is a challenge for every young person to find common ground or solutions for realizing 2045 Golden Indonesia (vision),” he said in a statement received here on Saturday.
Moeldoko issued the challenge when he met Purwokerto youths from different groups, such as businessmen, journalists, students, social activists, and others.
The youths of Purwokerto voiced their problems to Moeldoko, which ranged from overlapping regulations, poverty in Purwokerto and its surrounding areas, and the jumbled Integrated Social Welfare Data, which led to unfair distribution of social assistance, to the issue of protection for informal workers.
Moeldoko agreed that there were still some domestic issues that needed to be addressed.
"Indonesia must respond to global geopolitical developments that have resulted in the food and energy crises that are impacting the domestic economy. The instability of this world has become a task for Indonesia to maintain the welfare of the people," he remarked.
Moeldoko further said that togetherness and mutual cooperation among the people would help the government maintain economic, political, and security stability. Togetherness and mutual cooperation will also help achieve the goals of national human resource development programs.
“Love for the homeland must be improved, even those who are critical of the government actually love Indonesia. It just needs to be kept in control so that it doesn't turn into anarchy, which will even harm the people," he remarked.
