Managing Director of Commerce at PT KAI Hadis Surya Palapa said that the naming rights offer is meant to enhance sustainable railway services.
"We believe the program will be attractive for private companies because PT KAI serves hundreds of millions of passengers annually. This program is PT KAI's innovation for optimizing revenue through the commercialization of company assets," Palapa informed during a press conference at Gambir Station here on Friday.
In the first phase, the naming rights offer will be available for ten stations: Pasar Senen, Jatinegara, Tanah Abang, Tebet, Cikini, Sudirman, Juanda, Manggarai, Gondangdia, and Palmerah, he said.
However, the naming rights offer will not be limited to the ten stations, and the company is open to offers for other railway stations, he added.
Holders of the exclusive naming rights will be able to disseminate their brand message through various audiovisual means at the stations, such as through signages, wayfinding, station announcements, and other publications, Palapa noted.
He disclosed that the railway company will organize an exclusive marketing gathering with prospective partners to promote the naming rights on September 20, 2022, in South Jakarta.
"For more information, prospective companies can access the information center, which PT KAI will open on the ground floor of Gambir Station," he added.
Palapa said that the offer of naming rights is among the company's strategies to optimize its assets in the Java and Sumatra regions, and PT KAI is seeking cooperation with various parties to increase its revenue outside its transportation services.
"PT KAI is open to cooperation with partners to optimize PT KAI assets to increase revenues outside the passenger and goods transport sectors," he added.
