Regarding the government data leak, I admit that the leak has occurredJakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD made assurance that no top-secret government documents were affected by the recent government data leak reported widely on social media.
"Regarding the government data leak, I admit that the leak has occurred. I have received the report from the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) and the analysis from the (coordinating ministry's) Deputy VII (proving) the data leak occurrence. Yet, the leak does not affect top-secret documents," Mahfud stated in a press conference at the coordinating ministry office here, Monday.
He said that the data leak does not harm the government, as the leaked data was widely known to the public and published by national newspapers.

"The data leak is not harming (the government), and the data allegedly leaked had been published daily by newspapers, for instance, about the president's activities and nothing else. According to my observation, there is no top-secret information leaked," the coordinating minister affirmed.
Mahfud affirmed that the government will organize a meeting to follow up on the data leak.
Earlier, a hacker, known by the username Bjorka, claimed to have hacked the presidential data and obtained presidential letters and top-secret documents from the intelligence agency.

Bjorka's claim was later circulated by a Twitter account whose tweet turned viral and became a trending topic on social media until Saturday morning.
The tweet, forwarding Bjorka's claim, stated that presidential letters and top-secret BIN documents had been leaked.
In response to the alleged leak, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono made it clear that no presidential documents and letters were leaked to the internet as averse to allegations made by some members of the public.
"The State Secretariat will clarify this soon. There was no leak of presidential letters," Hartono stated on Saturday (September 10).
