"I see that the distribution has gone well, and I want the distribution to be conducted easily, quickly, and right on target," Jokowi remarked at a press conference at the Merdeka Palace here on Friday.
The government readied a total budget of Rp12.4 trillion to provide fuel cash assistance for 20.65 million beneficiary families. Each beneficiary family receives Rp150 thousand per month for a period of four months, and the disbursement is conducted in two phases, so each beneficiary family receives Rp300 thousand in September and another Rp300 thousand in December.

"On September 3, 2022, I ordered the minister of finance, minister of social affairs, and minister of manpower to distribute BLT BBM and wage subsidy assistance (BSU) immediately, and the distribution has started massively at post offices for BLT BBM since the end of last August," the president said.
During several working visits to various regions, President Jokowi also participated in distributing BLT BBM.
At the press conference, Social Affairs Minister Tri Rismaharini noted that as of Friday, September 16, 2022, at 9 a.m. local time, state-owned postal company PT Pos Indonesia had distributed BLT BBM in 482 districts and cities to a total of 12,701,985 beneficiary families.

"Hopefully, this Sunday, PT Pos will have disbursed BLT BBM to a minimum of 90 percent of the target beneficiary families, reaching 18,585,000," she added.
Rismaharini also noted that her ministry had submitted all pertinent data on prospective beneficiary families to PT Pos Indonesia.
Rismaharini expressed optimism that the disbursement process would reach 100 percent this month.
