Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named 28 suspects in a bribery case related to deliberations on the draft Jambi provincial budget in 2017 and 2018.



“It is true (that 28 people have been named suspects),” KPK spokesperson Ali Fikri said on Tuesday.



However, he refused to divulge the names of the suspects.

KPK will soon disclose the identities of the suspects, the chronology of the bribery case, and articles of the penal code violated in the case.



Earlier, on Tuesday morning, Fikri said that the KPK is investigating the bribery case related to deliberations on the draft Jambi provincial budget in 2017 and 2018.



KPK will soon make the results of the investigation public after it is considered sufficiently complete.

He said a team of investigators is currently collecting evidence by summoning several people as witnesses.



The suspects in the bribery case include a former Jambi governor, identified by his initials as ZZ, several leaders and members of the Jambi Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD), and businessmen.
