Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Pre-Employment Card Program encourages female entrepreneurs to re-enter the labor market by entrepreneurship through various online training provided, Executive Director of the Pre-Employment Card Program Management Denni Puspa Purbasari stated.

In a statement received in Jakarta, Monday, Purbasari explained that women's work participation in Indonesia, based on data from the National Labor Force Survey, had reached 53.34 percent, as compared to 80 percent for men.

"However, the presence of various kinds of online training provided in the Pre-Employment Card ecosystem encourages female entrepreneurship to return to the job market by being self-employed from home," she remarked.

The Pre-Employment Card Program is a work competency development program provided by the Indonesian Government aimed at job seekers, workers/laborers affected by the termination of employment, and/or workers/laborers, in need of competency improvement.

At the Mini Gathering of the Pre-Employment Card Fest in Yogyakarta, Saturday, October 15, she noted that the online Pre-Employment Card offered opportunity and empowerment to women through training from their own homes despite not working in companies.

Nationally, various researches showed that the Pre-Employment Card Program had a positive impact in terms of skills improvement, financial independence, and financial inclusion, she remarked.

Purbasari remarked that according to data from the Implementing Management of the Pre-Employment Card Program, women constituted 49 percent of the recipients of the Pre-Employment Card.

In addition, since joining the Pre-Employment Card Program, a 42-percent growth was recorded in female entrepreneurs receiving the Pre-Employment Card to reach 1.4 million female entrepreneurs.

"It is good to see and hear their stories today. This is the definition of happiness and success for me," she remarked.

Purbasari said that the Pre-Employment Card Program is a story of hope for a better life that can increase welfare. One of the ways is to improve the skills of workers through training.

"The success or failure of a person in learning to participate in this training all depends on themselves. First, it depends on their intention, then their seriousness, and consistency when studying," she remarked.
