Cases of acute kidney disorders in children under five years of age occurred in 27 provinces in Indonesia. The distribution of the cases mostly occurs in Jakarta with 57 cases, while 36 cases in West Java, 30 cases in Aceh, 25 cases in East Java, and 19 cases in West Sumatra.
Syahril noted that typical symptoms of acute kidney disorders can be seen from the appearance of urinary disorders ranging from alliguria to anuria in toddlers in these cases.
Alliguria is a decrease in the frequency and volume of urination, for instance, a child usually urinates 10 times but the frequency decreases to only four or five times, with a decreased volume as well.

If the child does not urinate, the symptom is called anuria, which enters the third stage of the disease.
Syahril explained that from the existing data on acute kidney disorders, there were 143 cases or 53 percent of anuria, 58 cases of alliguria or 22 percent of typical symptoms, and 68 cases of no typical symptoms or 26 percent from the total case count.

He expressed optimism that all parties, especially parents, would beware of the initial symptoms that will last around one to five days that will be followed by subsequent indications with more acute and progressive symptoms.
