"The potential for synergies between the food sector and the G20 countries in the context of anticipating the global food crisis is quite large, such as through the development of international market networks and expanding export opportunities," President Director of SOE Food Holding ID FOOD Frans Marganda Tambunan said here on Wednesday.
Tambunan said that state-owned food companies are willing to collaborate with the G20 member states to overcome the global potential of food crisis by expanding the food supply chain.
The food supply chain can be implemented through several work scheme plans, including cooperation with strategic partners in the context of commodities trade; optimizing the existence of Representative Office (RO) in G20 member states, such as Australia and
some other countries; and technology exchange through knowledge transfer, research collaboration, and business development.
Tambunan affirmed that this step aligned with SOEs Minister Erick Thohir's mandate to work in collaboration with the governments, private sector, MSMEs, and farmers.
