He visited the mourning altar/prayer table set up at Seoul Plaza to pay his respects to the victims, the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul said in a statement .
Ambassador Sulistiyanto joined hundreds of mourners who waited in line patiently to pay their final respects to the victims of the tragedy, the embassy added.

Another mourning altar was placed at Itaewon Plaza, which is located near the site of the crowd surge.
The government of the Republic of Korea has declared national mourning from October 30 to November 5 over the incident.
According to South Korean media reports, thousands of Korean and foreign mourners have visited the mourning altars at the two locations to pay their respects.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi have also expressed their condolences over the deaths and wished a speedy recovery to the injured through their respective social media accounts.

South Korean Minister for Foreign Affairs, Park Jin, has expressed gratitude for the condolence messages from across the world, saying they have provided great comfort to the Korean people in their moment of heartbreaking grief.
As of 11 p.m. (local time) on November 1, a total of 156 deaths have been recorded from the Itaewon crowd surge, according to South Korean authorities. Meanwhile, 22 people have been reported to be seriously injured and 14 have sustained minor injuries, they added.
As many as 121 people with minor injuries have returned home.
On Wednesday, South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo presided over a meeting to discuss the aftermath of the crowd surge.
The Indonesian Embassy in Seoul reported that no Indonesian citizens were killed in the incident. However, two Indonesian nationals suffered minor injuries in the incident. Both have received medical treatment and are now recovering.
As of 11 a.m. (local time) on November 2, the South Korean authorities have reported 156 deaths. They include 26 foreigners from 14 nations—Iran (5), China (4), Russia (4), the United States (2), Japan (2), and 1 person respectively from France, Australia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Norway, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Austria.
