Palangkaraya, Central Kalimant (ANTARA) - The Central Kalimantan education and innovation exhibition “Berkah” is a platform for schools, teachers, and students to exhibit their work and achievements.

"This is strategic because it is a platform, especially for students, to display the innovations they have," Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran remarked here on Tuesday.

The exhibition involved high school, vocational high school, and special school students in the province.

During the exhibition, schools from districts and cities display their best works of innovation, for instance, in the fields of agriculture, plant cultivation, electricity, culinary, and others.

This exhibition is also one of the implementations to realize the Pancasila Student Profile through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5).

Pancasila Student Profile is the embodiment of Indonesian students, who have global competence and character and values contained in the nation’s ideology of Pancasila.

In addition, this exhibition is a medium to find creative students and teachers, who have great ideas, aspirations, and innovations, with the spirit of entrepreneurship.

"We support and provide space for them to grow. I also urge the head of the (Central Kalimantan) Education Office to allocate a budget to support this," Sabran explained.

Moreover, the activity is expected to have a positive impact on increasing students’ experience, knowledge, and skills in entrepreneurship.

Head of the Central Kalimantan Education Office Ahmad Syaifudi remarked that through this exhibition, all parties can witness innovative products from each participating school.

"This branding is used as a school identity and regional identity. We are ready to follow up on the governor's directive to support the development of the schools’ various works and innovations," he remarked.

The government supports students to enhance their entrepreneurial skills. Earlier, Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia said students should take up entrepreneurship if they are keen to become leaders.
