Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia must be confident in its ability to become a developed nation and come on par with high-income countries, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has said.

"(We) must be convinced in (our) own ability. Once again, we must be convinced in our own ability, self-confident, and optimistic," he stressed while addressing thousands of his supporters at the United Nusantara gathering at Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK) here on Saturday.

During the G20 Summit in Bali on November 15–16, 2022, Indonesia proved that it is capable of standing on par with large countries, he said.
