Jakarta (ANTARA) - A 5.8-magnitude earthquake shook Sukabumi, West Java, on Thursday, at 7:50 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), with the epicenter located at 7.11 degrees South latitude and 106.99 degrees East longitude.

According to information from the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the quake's epicenter was located on land, within 22 km southeast of Sukabumi, at a depth of 104 km.

The earthquake had no potential to trigger a tsunami.
