The regulations refer to FIFA standards to anticipate unfavorable eventsJakarta (ANTARA) - The Greater Jakarta Police has readied personnel to secure Indonesia's match against Cambodia in the Group A match of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, Friday.
"The Greater Jakarta Police will secure the AFF Cup," Greater Jakarta Police's Head of Public Relations, senior commissioner Endra Zulpan, remarked here on Friday.
However, Zulpan did not divulge details on the number of personnel deployed in the security activities.
According to the senior commissioner, the Greater Jakarta Police Chief and other officials had checked the championship venue in order to assess the readiness of implementation of the AFF Cup.

He pointed out that security would refer to the standards set by the International Football Federation (FIFA).
"The regulations refer to FIFA standards to anticipate unfavorable events," he said.
The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Chairperson Mochamad Iriawan on Thursday, along with the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres) team, held an inspection at SUGBK, as the match would be attended by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
"I entered vital areas and checked everything regarding the smooth implementation of the national team match. I also entered the venue operation center and from that room, I was able to monitor activities at SUGBK, both inside, ring two and ring three, to prepare for President Jokowi's presence at SUGBK later," Iriawan explained.

According to the PSSI chairperson, supporting facilities at SUGBK will make it easier to monitor all movements. The stadium is one of the locations for next year's U-20 World Cup tournaments.
The match between Indonesia and Cambodia was planned to take place at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, on Friday starting at 4:30 p.m. local time. The PSSI has determined that less than 25 thousand spectators should be allowed for the afternoon match.
The last match between Indonesia and Cambodia took place in the group stage of the 2020 AFF Cup. At that time, Indonesia had defeated Cambodia, with a score of 4-2.
