The KSP participated in the ratification of one such law, namely the Sexual Crime Bill (RUU TPKS), which was ratified after a delay of 10 years, she noted in a statement issued on Wednesday.
"The ratification of the bill is inseparable from the productive collaboration between the entire government task force, including KSP, DPR (House of Representatives), and the civil society movement," she said.
In addition to the bill, derivative regulations of the Papua Special Autonomy Law were also issued, including three laws that became the foundation for the formation of three new provinces in Papua.
At the end of 2022, three new autonomous region (DOB) laws were followed by the Southwest Papua province formation law.
They were also followed by the issuance of Presidential Regulation No. 121 of 2022 on Papua special autonomy development acceleration steering committee.
The KSP also participated in the issuance of Presidential Regulation No. 17 of 2022 on the past gross human rights violation resolution team.
This was done as a form of commitment by the President to ensure non-judicial resolution, specifically in the fulfillment of victims' rights, without leaving the judicial resolution route.
Lastly, a new Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP) was ratified to replace the one implemented by the Dutch East Indies colonial government, which had been in effect since 1918.
The new KUHP contains elements of nationalism and reflects the effort to update national law.
Meanwhile, including the work plan for the politics, law, and human rights sectors in 2023, KSP will focus on realizing legal reforms, maintaining political stability, and continuing development equity.
It will seek to do so by assisting in several key tasks, including the preparation of simultaneous general elections and regional head elections, formation of a regulatory agency, and acceleration of prosperity development in Papua.
"The achievements throughout 2022 are the result of effective collaboration and coordination between all ministries or institutions and strategic partners," Pramodhawardani said.
"I expect that, within the remaining two years, this synergy will continue to be strengthened to achieve the development agendas that have been planned," she added.
