"In the fault area, the epicenter of the earthquake, relocation was conducted. One of the relocation places is here. There are 200 units here and a total of around one thousand have been relocated," the vice president remarked here on Wednesday.
A Simple Healthy Instant House (RISHA) will be built at a location where the land was provided by the regional government and been declared safe by the BMKG.
The earthquake-resistant house has the specifications of a river stone lane foundation, with a CNP steel structure covered in mortar.
The walls use light bricks that are plastered and painted. Meanwhile, the sills and roof frame use mild steel.
"As for houses that were not relocated to the old place, they were built by the owner. It may be built by the government with existing funds, and the construction must be earthquake-resistant," the vice president remarked.
Amin acknowledged that the earthquake-resistant shelter has not been completely constructed but will be built in stages.
In phase I, the government is renovating houses in Sirnagalih Village, Cilaku Sub-District, on a 2.5-hectare plot of land, with a target of building a total of 200 units, of which 80 units are targeted for completion by the end of December 2022 and 120 units to be completed in January 2023.
As of January 3, 2023, there are 188 ready-to-build location units, 264 units of Simple Healthy Instant Houses (RISHA) that were completely installed, 164 units that were covered with roofs, and 91 units on which the work is 100-percent complete.
The land area for one house is 75 square meters, with a building of 36 square meters, tiled floors, and 900 watts of electricity.
Meanwhile, in phase II, construction in Mande Sub-District on a 30-hectare land area is still in the process of transitioning and the initial stages of "land clearing."
As of January 3, 2023, a total of 43 location units are ready to build, 14 RISHA units are fully installed, and four units are covered with roofs.
Meanwhile, for people living in areas that are relatively safe from the earthquake but suffered damage, the government provides assistance based on the level of damage to their houses.
Each house received assistance of Rp60 million for heavily damaged houses, Rp30 million for moderately damaged houses, and Rp15 million for lightly damaged houses.
The phase 1 assistance was provided for 8,316 housing units, with 1,964 housing units being heavily damaged; 2,543 housing units being moderately damaged; and 3,809 housing units being lightly damaged.
The assistance has been distributed to 40 percent of the beneficiary accounts, while the remaining 60 percent will be handed over after the progress in construction reaches 40 percent.
Meanwhile, phase 2 of assistance was given to 16,745 housing units, comprising 2,499 heavily damaged housing units, 4,834 moderately damaged housing units, and 9,412 lightly damaged housing units.
